A Custom In-Ear Monitor (IEM) is an individual in-ear device made to the exact shape of your ear. Musicians, sound engineers and others who need accurate sound use them.
1. Consultation
First the purpose is established: stage monitoring, studio work or noise protection. This affects the configuration chosen.
2. Ear impression
At the centre an impression of the ear canal is taken — a soft material is placed in the ear and sets within a few minutes. The procedure is painless.
3. Manufacturing
The shell is built from the impression and drivers are fitted inside. This stage takes time.
4. Fitting
The finished IEM is tried on: fit and isolation from outside noise are checked. Adjustments are made if needed.
The process requires a visit to the centre — an impression cannot be taken remotely.
