An audiogram is a graph of hearing test results. The horizontal axis is frequency (low–high sounds), the vertical axis is loudness (decibels).
The lower the line, the greater the hearing loss. Typically 0–25 dB is normal, 26–40 mild, 41–70 moderate, 71–90 severe, 90+ profound. A specialist always gives the exact interpretation.
